The Federation Internationale de Tir Aux Sportives de Chasse (FITASC) is the organization that governs international competition of Parcours de Chasse, a challenging form of Sporting Clays.
There are “Old” and “New” styles of this sport. The stands resemble Hula Hoops, and very specific rules determine the mounting of the gun, movement, and shooting order. The fields are referred to as Parcours.
General requirements:
- Old style requires five machines per Parcour
- New style requires fifteen machines per Parcour.
- Shooters attempt 25 targets each per Parcour.
- This is traditionally a 12 gauge event; at very large tournaments, ranges may offer 20 gauge and 28 gauge FITASC events.
- Ranges typically offer 75, 100 or 150 target events, although 50 target events have also become popular.
- Targets should be mostly standard type, with a few midi, mini, rabbit, and/or battue.
- Certified FITASC referees are required for registered tourmanets.
- Ranges must provide staff to fill machines, clean up, etc.
